The Polish Tourist Organisation has established for the duration of the summer season an Emergency Telephone Number for Foreign Tourists to Poland. This telephone number was first brought into use in 2002.

Another historical municipality in the outskirts of Krakow, Kazimierz, is now one ofthe city's most attractive districts. Dotted with old buildnings which give a special ambience to the area, Kazimierz was home to the larger part of the Jewish population of Krakow tilll 1939.
